Chapel Hill competed only at the junior-varsity level last year.

The Chapel Hill football program will host its first annual “Punt, Pass, Kick Camp” at Chapel Hill High School on Saturday, April 27 from 8-11 am.

The event is open to boys and girls, ages 6-15. Each participant will be given three opportunities to punt, pass, and kick a football.

Chapel Hill assistant coach Patrick Roeber is excited to take part in the camp and begin an annual tradition.

“The event is a great opportunity for the players to be able to give back and hopefully start to develop some interest and relationships that will help us in the future,” Roeber said.

The contest will also allow the Tigers to promote football in the local area.

“I am looking forward to having kids and families from the community come out and get a chance to see who we are and what we are about,” Roeber said. “Kids will be exposed to football and hopefully, they can see that it is the one game that really attracts students from every corner of the school. Also, that football is not only fun, but can teach some very valuable life lessons.”

The entry fee for the competition is $5.

Chapel Hill fielded only a junior-varsity team last season, but is planning to compete at the varsity level again next year.
