The Chapel Hill Athletic Department held a signing ceremony for college-bound student-athletes on May 21, in Hanes Auditorium.

Athletes signed on stage in front of family members, teammates and coaches.

Chapel Hill Athletic Director Tim Bennett hosted the annual event.

“I loved to see all the support,” Bennett said. “This year we had more teammates at the ceremony than we have had in previous years. It’s nice to see our teams supporting players and celebrate their opportunity to play at the next level.”

Bennett attributes Chapel Hill athletes’ continued success to their commitment in the classroom.

“I think that Chapel Hill’s reputation is that our athletes put school first. To be able to be a part of one of the Chapel Hill programs you have to work hard and be committed, and college coaches appreciate that,” Bennett said.
